July 1, 1863 to December 31, 1863

During the months of July & August the company remained inactive in the vicinity of Rome Ga, recruiting the men & horses between 28 Aug. & 20 Sept. the Comapny was engaged in picketing & scouting near Alpine & the neighbourhood of LaFayette Ga.. was engaged with the regiment at the battle Chicamauga, subsequently crossed the Tennessee River & participated in the raid under Genl Wheeler upon McMinnville, Shelbyville &c; recrossed that river at Decatur Alabama, where the Company remained six days, at the expiration of which time began the march to East Tennessee to join the command of Genl. Longstreet, since which time the Company has been constantly employed in picketing, scouting & skirmishing with the enemy involving a loss to the Company of 2 wounded, 2 killed in action & 3 prisoners
