The company marched from San Antonio Tex. on the 7 of Sept 1861, arrived at Houston on 13th (235 miles) left on the 30 by rail road (80 miles) and reached Beaumont same day. Left on 4th Oct. by steamboat (70 miles) for Niblett's Bluff arrived same dayand marched to New Iberia (140 miles) and arrived on the 13th thence to Bradshear City (80 miles) by steam boat thence by railroad to New Orleans (81 miles) on the 14th left New Orleans on the 17th by railroad (850 miles) to Bowling Green Ky on 28 Oct. 1861.
