October 31, 1863 to February 29, 1864

During the month of Nov. we assisted in laying siege to Knoxville with frequent skirmishes. No one of the Company hurt. Dec. we accompanied Genl Longstreet on retreat from Knoxville covering his retreating infantry frequent and had skirmishes none hurt. Jan. more fighting than the previous month. J. T. J. Culpepper & Henry Ferrill slightly wounded. Feb. little or no fighting but marching and counter marching a great deal.
