Mustered into Company E at Houston, TX on September 12, 1863.
Wounded at Murfreesboro, TN, possibly on July 13, 1862 and/or September 29,
1862.
Present in April 1863.
Reported as killed near Southern University, Sewanee, TN on July 4, 1863,
but was actually separated from his unit.
With companion, walked across Cumberland Mountains in TN to rejoin regiment.
Paroled at Charlotte, NC in April 1865.
Arrived home to Gonzales, TX in August 1865.
He and wife both received pensions.
