1863 Ordnance ReportMountains of official paperwork were generated during the war which include everything from pay vouchers to after action reports by generals. While a great deal of this was destroyed, some survived to be cataloged and preserved in the National Archives and other libraries. Much of it though still remains undiscovered in private collections, attics, and even in unexamined archives. It is our goal to locate and create an index of these oft valuable documents. The following list is an index to the official documents relating to Terry's Rangers we have so far identified.

Batchelor Turner Letters

January 8, 1862 - Discharge for G. Q. Turner
Honorable discharge and transportation notations.
October 12, 1863 - Medical Examination and Furlough orders for G. Q. Turner
Dr. P. H. Thornton recommends he be sent to Rome. GA for treatment.
March 17, 1864 - Medical certificate for G.s Q. Turner
Findings show him unfit for duty and recommend 30 day extended furlough

January 24, 1862 - Nomination of R. F. Bunting as Military Chaplain

February 12, 1865 - Dispatch Requesting Orders at Elliott's Ferry
Capt. Jarmon to Lt. Col. Cook requesting new orders on account of Yankee advances.
March 28, 1865 - Report by Captain Shannon

Even private collectors who do not wish to actually publish their holdings are encouraged to share a list of Ranger related documents in their possession so that their existence can be documented for future generations.
