July 15, 1862.

Col. J. B. FRY,
Chief of Staff:

Citizens and soldiers are coming in from Murfreesborongh. It is settled that enemy marched Monday morning for McMinnville, taking with them nearly all the prisoners; they paroled only the disabled. They have probably gone to their old camp near McMinnville; they were not more than 2,000 strong.
