Have just received the following dispatch from Captain Greene:
NASHVILLE, July 13, 1862.
Col. E. M. MCCOOK,
Reynolds Station:Enemy, 3,000 strong, attacked this morning at Murfreesborough, and courier from there says our people cut to pieces. Hold your regiment in readiness to march at a moments notice. Advise Colonel Mundy at Pulaski of this, and tell him to hold his regiment in readiness, and also send word to all other troops in vicinity. Send the news to General Buell by an expressman to nearest telegraph station. How many men have you and what other troops in your vicinity that can be reached?
