REPORTS-CAPTURE
OF AN INDIANA REGIMENT.—The Atlanta (Ga.) Southern Confederacy of the
[2]6th has this paragraph.
It is reported that an entire regiment of Indiana troops, the advance of the Federal army, was taken prisoners on Tuesday last about thirty miles from Nashville, on the Franklin pike, by a command made up of Texas Rangers, Col. Forrests's Cavalry and Col. Scott's Cavalry, who surrounded them. We do not vouch for the truth of the report, but it was current and generally believed in Nashville on Wednesday Inst.
