Confederate Veteran - Article Summaries

Confederate Veteran magazine was the official publication of the United Confederate Veterans Association. Within its pages can be found a wealth of material written by and for Confederate veterans. Originally published between 1893 and 1932, the magazine covers topics ranging from personal reminiscences and battle accounts to reunion announcements and obituaries. Many veterans wrote to "the Veteran" with the clear purpose of preserving their experiences for posterity. If you desire a better understanding of the War Between the States and, more precisely, the Southern soldier, you would do well to examine this valuable resource.

The following is a list of the Confederate Veteran articles contained within the Online Archives. Also available is an index to selected topics which includes listings for articles not yet reproduced in this website.
