J. M. Carrington, of Cleveland, Ohio, a member of Company E, Tenth Michigan
Infantry, writes that on April 10, 1863, his company had a "little fracas"
at Antioch, Tenn., with (it was supposed) the Eighth Texas, more commonly
known as Terry's Rangers. During this affair Mr. Carrington's sword and pistol
were taken away from him by a lieutenant and a private. He would like very
much to recover these articles, and would appreciate any information of them.
