My Sweet Love
Since writing my letter (for Mr Ashby) I have had the good fortune to find an Artist in Rome, and after much talking succeeded in getting him to take my likeness. My uniform being a blue grey it was too light to take well, but I well know it would be prized highly & therefore send itI have nothing further to add, My Sweet loveexcept my earnest wishes that I may soon be able to present the living image, here so faintly portrayed, to one of the best & loveliest of wivesI am dearest Your affectionate
