Guest Hollow Confederate Cemetery, TN

Tennessee Historic MarkerThe following men were all killed in while attacking a blockhouse in Warren County, Tennessee. After the battle the Federal troops buried the Confederate soldiers in a mass grave on the field of battle. After the Federal forces withdrew to Nashville, a family by the name of Morrison recovered the Confederate bodies from the mass grave. They were reburied in individual walnut caskets made by Mr. Morrison.
