A cornerstone book for any CW enthusiast's library is this insightful,
sincere and forthright narrative by a Texas Confederate enlisted man.
Fletcher had the distinction of serving in two of the most famous Texas
Units during the war. He started out as a foot soldier in Hood's Texas
Brigade, then, following hip and foot wounds, he transferred to Terry's
Texas Rangers for the remainder of the war.
