Documents Relating to B. F. Burr

B. F. Burr, (Benjamin Burr), known as Ben to his family, was born May 20, 1841, to William Burr and Amanda Jones, in Lexington, Kentucky. He died, April 6, 1862, at "The Battle of Shiloh". Ben joined, Co. I, Capt. Jones, infantry from Gonzales. He and his friend, Ed Rhodes joined from the community of Guadalupe.

1859 Vallentine. Click to view and read inscription.The valentine is dated 1859. It is signed "I will be your own Hepsey Depsey", and was sent to or given to Ben Burr, in Sequin, Texas. I have no idea if he married or had any children, but he sure had an admirer.
