Mamie Ann Yeary Published Reminiscences of the Boys in Gray in 1912. This 900+ page book was is actually a compilation of memoirs sent to Miss. Yeary by Confederate Veterans living in Texas at the turn of the century, many of whom served in units from states other than Texas. It now provides a wealth of information to genealogists and historians in the words of the veterans themselves. Below are selected excerpts.
