Emigrated to TX by 1851, stopping first in Galveston then settling in Brazoria
County.
Enlisted with Company B on July 1, 1862 in Memphis, TN by Kit Williams.
Furloughed at Kingston, TN in November 1862 with wound (likely received in
KY in October 1862).
Transferred to 22 TN Infantry, Company A and/or 8th TN Cavalry, Company B.
Captured at Granville, TN in August 1863.
Forwarded to Camp Chase, OH in September 1863
Forwarded to Rock Island, IL in January 1864.
Paroled by May 17, 1865 following 19 months of confinement at Rock Island,
IL.
Served as Sherriff of Brazoria County, TX from June 25, 1866 to April 25, 1869.
