Enlisted in Lavaca County during August 1861.
Mustered in with Company F, Terry's Rangers on September 7, 1861 in Houston, TX.
Elected 3rd Corporal of Company F.
Promoted to 1st Corporal by August 1862.
Captured in Sequatchie Valley, TN during October of 1863.
Forwarded to Camp Morton IN.
Died of inflamation of the lungs in prison at Camp Morton, IN on January 26, 1865.
