Born in Maryland around 1834.
May have resided in Wharton County, TX.

Mustered in with Company H at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Suffered gunshot wound to the arm during the Sunday afternoon encounter with the enemy near the boggy ravine at Shiloh, TN on April 6, 1862.
Reported as absent on account of wounds, April 1862.
Returned to TX.
Published as a deserter on May 30, 1863.
Dropped from the roll June 10, 1862.
Macmurphy records that he died on June 10, 1863.
