Participated in action against Union facilities along TX coast and near Brownsville,
TX from February 1861 to September 1861.
Mustered into Company G at Liberty, TX by Capt. Houston on October 2, 1861.
Sent to Nashville, TN by December 1861 due to illness.
Regained regiment.
Supposed captured by December 1863, but regained regiment by 1865.
Suffered mortal wounds in February 1865 (possibly February 12) near Aiken,
SC.
Died at Augusta, GA on February 27, 1865 at the 3rd GA Hospital.
