Studied law under his brotherin San Antonio, Bexar County, TX.
Joined the Masonic Order in 1854.
Admitted to the bar in Hallettsville, Lavaca county, TX in 1855.
Resided at Ft. Griffith, Shackleford County, TX.
Mustered into Company C at Courtland, AL on May 2, 1862 by Lt. Shannon.
Promoted to 1st Sergeant.
Wounded during attack on stockade near McMinnville, TN on August 29, 1862.

Member of Terry Lodge, Regimental Masonic Chapter.
Served as aide-de-camp to Gen. Joseph Wheeler.
Served on the Masonic Committee on Work in 1868 with William M. Taylor, Benjamin

Resided in Acton, Hood County, TX.
