Resided at Plum Grove, Fayette County, TX; occupied as a blacksmith.

Mustered into Company F at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Hospitalized at Rienzi, MS in April and May 1862.
Acting as blacksmith by July 1863.
Present in February 1864.
Claiborne and Bunting indicate he suffered shoulder and face wounds in August 1864, possibly near Newnan, GA (Jones Roster).
Sowell indicates he was killed by gunshot to the head on a scout near Chattahoochee River in Marietta, GA on July 30, 1864. (Jones Roster.)
Simpson indicates he was killed while on scout near Chattahoochee River; Claiborne indicates it was in the vicinity of Marietta, GA. (Jones Roster.)
