Resided at Belmont and Gonzales, Gonzales County, TX in 1860 with brother
G. W. Shuler, Co. E; occupied as a farmer.
Mustered into Company E at Houston, TX on March 30, 1862, by Lietuenant Morris.
Suffered wounds to both arms at Mossy Creek, TN on December 29, 1863.
Present by January 1864.
Likely present in November 1864 (Jones Roster).
