Exchanged at City Point, VA in April 1863.
Stayed in Petersburg, VA hospital in April 1863 due to "debilitas and
emaciation."
Absent in Chattooga County, GA in May 1863, where he was denied his request
to raise his own cavalry battalion.
Absent near Bridgeport, AL in July 1863 due to illness.
Absent in January 1864.
Present in February 1864.
Assigned to post duty at Greenville, TN in April 1864 due to poor health.
Resided in Fresno, Fresno County, CA in 1903.
Died January 9, 1924.
Buried at Mountain View Cemetery, Fresno, Fresno County, CA.
