Resided at Karnes County, TX.

Mustered into Company C at Houston, TX on September 12, 1861.
Bunting reports he was captured and escaped on October 7, 1863.
Killed by artillery shell striking his horse and severing his thigh near Farmington, TN on October 7, 1863.
