Mustered into Company E at Houston, TX on September 12, 1861.
Wounded during the Sunday afternoon encounter with the enemy near the boggy
ravine at Shiloh, TN on April 6, 1862.
Wounded twice in the same day at Cassville, GA on May 24, 1864.
Present in February 1864.
Discharged on February 27, 1864.
Returned to Gonzales County, TX to ranch with his father and brother.
Married Henrietta White of Rankin County, MS on July 7, 1870.
Fathered nine children.
Died in 1888, at the age of fifty one.
