Born around 1837 in KY.
Resided at Richmond, Ft. Bend County, TX in 1860 with parents and five siblings.

Mustered into Company H at Richmond, TX on May 14, 1862 by Capt. Cook.
Present in March 1864.
Suffered severe head wound at Sandersville, GA on November 25, 1864 (Macmurphy diary) or Waynesboro, GA on December 4, 1862 (Claiborne; Jones Roster).
Member of Shannon's Scouts (according to Paul Scott masters thesis).
Discharged due to head injury.

Possibly mentioned in Diary of G. L. Macmurphy on August 24, 1862.
