Born around 1843 in KY.
Resided at Richmond, Ft. Bend County, TX in 1860 with parents and five siblings; occupied as a student.

Mustered into Company H at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Possibly AWOL briefly in early 1863 (Jones Roster).
Court-martialed on May 13, 1863.
Mentioned in Diary of G. L. Macmurphy on May 13, 1863 and possibly August 24, 1862.
Present by December 1863 to at least March 1864.

Died by 1882, according to Claiborne.
