Born at AL around 1840.
Resided at Hardeman, Matagorda County, TX in 1860 with parents, five siblings,
and R. A. Drane, Co. L; occupied as clerk.
Mustered into Company B at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Present by April 1, 1862, after illness during winter months.
Killed in skirmish near Woodbury, TN on August 29, 1862; suffered shell to
leg, severing it below the knee.
Buried "in one of the grand old hills of Cannon County." (CV June
1898)
