Enlisted with Company D in Houston on September 9, 1861.
Serving as 4th Sergeant by May 1862.
Promoted to 2nd Sergeant by April 1863.
Was on guard duty during the "Pigeon River Affair."
Said to have served as one of Shannon's Scouts.
Married Mary A. McGehee in Hills Prarie, Bastrop Couty, TX on January 12,
1866.
Married Mary D. Stovall on June 1889 in Austin, Travis County, TX.
Attended the 1898 Terry's Rangers Reunion in Austin, TX. (Residence listed
as Austin.)
Died Dec. 10, 1902 in Austin, Travis County, TX.
