Kenner Keener Rector

November 24, 1835 - June 15, 1914

Born November 14, 1835 in Bellefonte, Jackson County, AL.
Resided at Bastrop, Bastrop County, TX in 1860 with father and siblings; occupied as a farmer.
Described as 5'10" with black hair, light complexion, and dark eyes.

Mustered into Co. D at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Absent acting as nurse at Nashville, TN during winter 1861-1862.
Ill.
Wounded twice in arm and captured at Murfreesboro, TN on December 31, 1862.
Escaped and regained regiment in February 1863.
Discharged due to gunshot wound (causing compound fracture of forearm) and departed for TX in March 1863.

Married Effie Agnes Watts on December 10, 1863.
Died June 15, 1914 in Fisher County, TX.

First cousin to Thompson Mason Rector, Co. D and brother-in-law to John H. Washington, Co. D.
