Occupied as a railroad engineer.

Mustered into Company F at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Ill in Nashville, TN from November 7, 1861 to January 7, 1862.
Returned to duty on February 12, 1862.
Promoted to 5th Sergeant.
Killed during attack on stockade near McMinnville, TN on August 29, 1862.
