Mustered into Company B at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Transferred to staff of Brigadier General S. B. Maxey in November 1862.
Served with regiment by November 1863 to at least February 1864 (apparently,
according to Jones Roster).
Another record indicates appointment to staff of General E. K. Smith as Captain
and Adjutant in January 1864.
