Moved to Giddins, TX in 1850 with family.
Resided in Chappel Hill, Washington County, TX with parents and seven siblings, occupied as a farmer.

Mustered in with Company K in Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Killed at Murfreesboro, TN on July 13, 1862.

Memorial services held at Early Methodist Chapel near his home in Lexington, TX.
