Born in TN around 1825.
Married Mary Alice Carter on December 1, 1853.
Resided in Gay Hill, Washington County, TX in 1860 with wife and four children;
occupied as a farmer.
Described as 5'9" with dark hair, dark complexion, and blue eyes.
Mustered into Company B near Sparta, TN in May 1863. (Possibly transferred
from another unit.)
Bunting indicates he held rank of Major.
Surrendered at Charlotte, NC on May 3, 1865.
Apparently paroled at Nashville, TN on May 19, 1865. (Jones Roster)
Worked as a Methodist Minister and served several chrches in the South Carolina
Conference.
Died March 6, 1906.
