Promoted to Captain in January 1862.
Left near Lewisburg, TN in March 1863 due to illness.
Commanded regiment in March 1865 after battle at Bentonville.
(Regained regiment by April 1865?)
Discharged/"retired" on certificate of disability near Black Creek Station, NC in April 1865 due to hemorrhoids and profuse bleeding.
Paroled at Selma, AL on June 30, 1865.
