Mustered into Co. D at Brenham, TX on March 17, 1862 by "justice" (according to Jones Roster).
Absent during June 1862 due to illness.
Recieved 40-day furlough in January 1864.
Absent in April 29, 1864.
Sources differ on whether he returned or not.
Paroled at Washington County, TX on June 28, 1865.
