Clemons Monroe McGarity
October 1837 - June 1862
Born in October 1837 at Gibson County, TN.
Resided at Gibson County, TN in 1836 with family.
Resided at Panola County, MS in 1841 with family.
Resided at Belmont, Gonzales County, TX with parents and eight siblings or
relatives; occupied as a farmer.
Mustered into Company E at Houston, TX on September 12, 1861.
Left in private hospital near Bear Creek Bridge, Franklin County, AL in May
1862 due to illness.
Discharged in June 1862.
First cousin of George W. Littlefield, Co. I.
NOTE:
This is not the same Clemons McGarity who married Nannie Pierce on January 5, 1864 at Guadalupe County, TX, married Mary Charlotte (Molly) Gilbert on April 14, 1868 at Gonzales, Gonzales County, TX, and died January 10, 1912 at Leesville, Gonzales County, TX.
