Born at Augusta, GA on April 6, 1835.
Possibly resided at Galveston County, TX in 1860.

Mustered into Company H at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Promoted to 3rd Corporal in May 1862.
Received furlough June 14, 1862.
Promoted to 1st Sergeant (and/or Junior 2nd Lieutenant) by April 1863.
Served as acting Assistant Quartermaster by December 1863.
Elected 3rd Lieutenant on May 9, 1863 (or in January 1864).
Promoted to 1st. Lieutenant in October 1864.
Last official record is January 1864.

Married Helen Cooper of Augusta, GA.
Owned a Grocery store in Augusta most of his life.

Died in Augusta, GA in 1929.

He was the oldest member of United Confederate Veterans Camp 435.
