Born at TN around 1826.
Resided at Stephenville, Erath County, TX in 1860, with J. H. Alexander, Co. K and W. J. Alexander, Co. H.

Mustered into Company A at Houston, TX on September 25, 1861.
Promoted to 1st or 2nd Lieutenant in October 1861.
Promoted to 1st Lieutenant by January 27, 1862.
Promoted to Captain by April 1862.
Wounded and thought killed during the engagement with the enemy's reserve forces at Shiloh, TN on April, 7, 1862.
Captured and transfered to St. Louis, MO aboard hospital steamer.
Hospitalized in St. Louis, MO until May 1862.
Paroled in May 1862 to report to Camp Chase, OH.
Located in Johnson's Island, OH in May 1862.
Forwarded to be exchanged at Vicksburg, MS in September 1862, possibly by way of Ft. Manassas, VA.
Present and commanding company by September 1862.
Received wound (spent ball) to mouth near Triune, TN on December 27, 1862.
Received severe shoulder wound, likely near Rockford, TN, on November 15, 1863.
Present by February 1864 through at least July 1864.

Died at Stephenville, Erath County, TX in 1876.
