Born in 1838. (Jones Roster indicates age 24.)
Resided at Webberville, Travis County, TX in 1860 with wife and one child; occupied as a farmer.

Mustered into Company D at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861
Promoted to Ordinance Sergeant in June 1862.
Promoted to 1st Sergeant by July 1862.
Reduced in rank to private after August 1862.
Captured in KY in October 1862.
Paroled and forwarded to Louisville, KY for 3 weeks, then to Vicksburg, MS for exchange.
Regrained regiment in December 1862.
Suffered accidental gunshot wound to hand in April 1863.
Listed as absent without leave in February 1864.
Discharged at Shreveport, LA in June 1864, possibly due to prior accidental wound.
Appointed Assistant Clerk to Texas State Department on an unknown date.
Paroled at Austin, TX on July 26, 1865.

Admitted to the Confederate Men's Home on June 4, 1895.
Died December 18, 1903.
Buried in the Texas State Cemetery.
