Wounded (badly broken arm) during the Sunday afternoon encounter with the
enemy near the boggy ravine at Shiloh, TN on April 6, 1862.
Resigned on July 11, 1862 in Tupelo, MS due to battle wounds.
First County judge for Lee County, TX. 1874 -1878.
Moved to Bell County, TX in 1878.
Superintendant of Texas Confederate Home in Austin, TX.
Died in February 1911 in TX
