Promoted to 5th Sergeant by December of 1863.
Wounded at Mossy Creek, TN on December 26th, 1863.
Tended by George Jefferson Boothe, Co. I,
to at least January 1864.
Last record is May, 1864.
May have been paroled as "J. W. Jones" in May of 1865.
Married Mary P. Gill in Gonzales in 1867 and had nine children.
Died in Karnes Co TX about 1918.
Brother-in-law of George Jefferson Boothe, Co. I.
