Born in Chester County, TN (near Mifflin, TN) on April 27, 1833.
Resided in TN.

Apparently mustered into Company A in April 1864, and served 14 months through the end of the war.

Married Sarah Frances Spencer on August 27, 1878, and had four children.
Died of pneumonia on March 12, 1898.
