Possibly resided in Fayette County, TX in 1860.

Mustered into Company F at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Wounded and stayed in private hospital at Farmington, TN in October 1863.
Paroled at Demopolis, AL on May 31, 1865.

Cousin of Richard A. Jarman, Co. F, and W. R. Jarman, Co. F.

(J. K. P. Blackburn indicates that the battle wounds rendered S. L. Jarmon unable to perform duties for remainder of war. Also indicates that he died several years after the war due to effects of the October 1863 wounds.)
