Acting on special duty by December 1863.
Suffered head wound near Rugledge, TN on December 16, 1863.
Sent to TX by way of Rome, GA, to deliver mail in January 1864.
Transferred to Capt. David Terry's company
in the Trans-Mississippi theater in 1864.
Resided in Luling Texas after the war.
