Resided at Hopkinsville, Gonzales County, TX in 1860; occupied as an overseer.
Mustered into Company I at Houston, TX on September 11, 1861.
Served on special duty by December 1863.
Paroled at Greensboro, NC on May 5, 1865.
Attended 1882 Reunion; residence listed as Kingsbury.
Attended the 1902 Ranger Reunion; address listed as Luling.
Witnessed Thomas Walker Jones's Pension App in 1910.
Attended the 1921 Ranger Reunin; address listed as Luling.
Mrs. William Franklin Holcomb applied for TX CS widow's pension (#20925, Midland).

W. F. Holcomb, Gonzales County, present. Holcomb is buried in the Midland, Texas, cemetery, and his name is inscribed on their Confederate Monument.
