Resided in Harris County.

Mustered into Company K at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Promoted to 4th Corporal by August 1862.
Promoted to 5th Sergeant by April 1863.
Promoted to 1st Lieutenant by May 1863.
Suffered accidental, serious knee wound near Pulaski, TN in October 1863, when regiment was passing another unit.
Killed at Farmington, TN on October 7, 1863.

Buried in CSA Cemetery, Farmington, TN.
