Possibly resided in LaGrange, Fayette County, TX or Bastrop County, TX.

Mustered into Company D at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Promoted to 4th Sergeant in December 1861.
Promoted to 2nd Sergeant by August 1862.
Promoted to Order Sergeant by December 1862.
Horse killed during retreat from wagons.
Captured at Murfreesboro, TN on December 31, 1862.
Forwarded to Camp Douglas, IL, then forwarded to City Point, VA.
Released at City Point, VA on April 7, 1863.
Promoted to 1st Sergeant by April 1863.
Ill in GA by January 1864.
Present in January 1865.
Member of Terry Lodge, Regimental, Masonic chapter.
