Born in Bastrop, TX October 26, 1843.
Resided in Bastrop, Bastrop County, TX in 1860 with his parents and three siblings.

Mustered into Company D at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Absent in May 1862 with cousin R. T. Hill, due to illness.
Present in February 1864.
Absent from December 1864 until at least January 1865.

Attended the 1875 Terry's Texas Rangers Regimental Reunion at Barton's Springs.
Attended the 1898 Terry's Texas Rangers Regimental Reunion at Austin.

Died on January 30, 1905.
Buried in Oliver-Powell Cemetery, Bastrop County, TX.

Cousin of R. T. Hill, Co. D, and cousin of (3 brothers) J. W. F. Hill, Co. D, R. E. Hill, Co. D, and T. A. W. Hill, Co. D.
