Born in TX around 1843.
Resided at Columbus, Colorado County, TX in 1860 with parents and seven siblings;
occupied as an apprentice carpenter.
Transferred into Company B at Sparta, TN on either September 1, 1862 or in
March 1862 by Lt. Fulkerson, from 1st Confederate Cavalry.
Suffered serious thigh wound and captured at Murfreesboor, TN on December
31, 1862.
Exchanged at Ft. Monroe, VA in June 1863.
Regained regiment.
Suffered severe arm wound at Waynesboro, GA on December 4, 1864, and left
convalescing with relatives near Cave Spring, GA.
